Quality assurance

The first step of our Good Translation Practice guidelines ensures that the framework set up for the project supports the process. In order to achieve the desired high quality in the translation, we have to find the right ‘raw materials’. Among other things, the raw materials are:

  • an experienced project manager who has the situation under control
  • the right translator with the right experience
  • a source document in a suitable format to work in
  • sufficient time
  • IT equipment that supports optimal production

It is also important that you, the client must tell us if you have any special requirements, e.g. for the final layout, terminology or deadlines. As an overall rule, we prefer to have as much time as possible to do a translation, because a rushed schedule may compromise quality.
